Sunburst Strat + black pickguard + gold hardware+gold knobs and pickup
Thoughts on black pickguards. It's just a small thing, I know. but I realized just today that I really don't like black pickguards. I don't mind brown ones (in fact, on more vintage guitars, I really like them), I like guitars with clear or no pickguards. it's just the black ones that I really don't like that much.

Mar 31, 2017. #17. Not a fan of black, especially with a maple board. Looks like a 70s strat. On a rosewood my preferences in order would be; some variant of white (parchment, aged, single ply white), tortoise, and black would be last. My '01 standard probably started as white, but is more of a parchment now.
